A nearly fine+ two volume set. with four hundred color plates & illustrations. Fold out maps in each volume in excellent condition. A very nice set. No bumped corners to books. Both volumes have smooth spine tips. No rubbing to of both volumes. Gold gilt lettering to spine and front board of both volumes are clean and bright. Top edge gold gilt. No signatures, no bookplates. No cracked hinges. A much nicer set than usual. Although, dated 1841 on title page, this is the reissued 1892 Edition.
