A fine hardcover copy in a near fine jacket/brodart covered, First Edition. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. Jacket has half inch closed tear to the front top edge. Some very tiny nicks to top of jackets spine. A crease to front flap. A very unusual signature in that he has inscribed and signed "William" Merwin hardly ever used his first name in signing books. This is a very personal signing. The inscription reads like a poem - For Leon under his roof Chicago March 1976 wonderful to have come here and seen spring helpin in Evanston don't forget: ???? next time!
