ASSOCIATION COPY: SIGNED/INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO GURDON HUBBARD. Hubbard was a fur trader and owned one of the first stock yards in Chicago. Hubbard Street in Chicago is named for him and The Lake Side Press published a biography of Hubbard in 1911.
