Near fine, clean and tight hardcover copy. First Edition. Rebound in 3/4 leather. All edges gold gilt with five raised bands. Mild bump to top edge of front board. Copy is very tight and no cracked hinges. Marbled end papers with original cloth covers attached to inside boards. Illustrated by George Cattermole with 25 steel engraved plates. Ms Ball wrote several Gothic type tales bordering on intrigue, murder, duals and revenge and lots of blood.
