A good+ hardcover copy of this very scarce First Edition. Copy is tight, no loose pages. Rubbing to cloth: corners, top and bottom of spine with shelf rubbing to bottom edges of boards. Small puncture hole back board along fold. No cracked hinges, no signatures. Heavy foxing to the half title page with light foxing on title page. Some very light foxing there after. Comes with a clear, removable acetate jacket. Author wrote over 40 books, which took place in Africa. He was a contemporary of H. Rider Haggard. A very scarce title by this author.
